So what's your favorite holiday?- Melissa

I first got the idea for this blog after seeing a fellow co-worker of mine after she came into work dressed up for St. Patricks Day. Sometimes people, like this girl, dress up and put cosmetics on just for fun. It is also interesting to have these people ring you out at the cash register looking like this. As you can see, this girl went all out. Although the green hair is a wig, the remaining comsmetics are real. As for Saint Patricks Day, it is not just a day for drinking, it is also considered one of the luckiest days of the year for some people.

Holidays are celebrated for many reasons today. Many times the actual reason or meaning of the holiday is not remembered at all, it is forgotten. Many holidays are celebrated today for their commercial implications and benefits. Like St. Patrick's Day, some celebrate it as a day of fun and drinking, others as a day of wearing green and putting on make ups, and there are others who celebrate it for its traditional meaning, the day of victory, respect and pride.
If all holidays are celebrated for their true meaning, there can be no favorite holiday, for everyone is unique, important and special in its own way. However; if I had to select one favorite holiday at all cost in respective of the above, then it will be Christmas, and for its true meaning.
